Printing Tips: Preparing Files That Come Out Perfect

Bleed, resolution, and color mode account for nearly every reprint we see. Get them right once.

Set up documents at final trim size with 0.125 inch of bleed on all sides, and keep critical text at least 0.25 inch inside the trim.

Raster artwork should be 300 DPI at final size for small print and 100–150 DPI at final size for large format viewed from a distance.

Convert to CMYK before submitting, and always outline your fonts or package the originals. Vector logos should stay vector all the way to output.
